General Rules

The parking regulations are enforced every day, twenty-four hours a day. During certain times special conditions exist, and the regulations are modified. However, restricted spaces remain in effect. These areas include disability, load/unload, service, reserved and specially signed areas.

NOTE: During major University events, the University reserves the right to close any campus parking area at any time it is deemed necessary for events or to meet special needs. WAC 504-15-350.

A Vacation Period is a period of time when classes or final exams are not in session. Except for holidays that fall within this period, the business offices of the university are open during this time. Vacation Periods include: Summer vacation which follows summer session, Winter vacation between the fall and spring semesters, Thanksgiving vacation, and Spring vacation. For the purpose of parking enforcement, President's Day is considered a University Holiday.

Note: Thanksgiving vacation and Winter vacation also have several days that are considered University Holidays when different special conditions are in effect. Follow this link for University Holiday Special Conditions.
